In the face of rapid technological transformation and evolving funding models for nonprofit action, NGOs must rethink their tools and methods. On April 10 in Casablanca, on the sidelines of GITEX Africa, the event « AI FOR IMPACT 2026 », organized by EPIK Leaders in partnership with the Moroccan School of Engineering Sciences (EMSI) at the heart of the Honoris United Universities campus, will bring together NGOs, public institutions, donors, technology companies, impact startups, researchers and media to explore practical applications of artificial intelligence in the nonprofit sector.
The objective is to examine how artificial intelligence can strengthen the efficiency, transparency and operational capacity of civil society organizations, at a time when social needs are increasing and funding mechanisms are becoming more complex.
Across the world, nonprofit organizations are facing growing challenges:
an increasing number of calls for proposals, higher reporting requirements, stronger competition for access to international funding, and the need to demonstrate measurable impact.
Artificial intelligence opens new perspectives to address these challenges, including:
« AI can become a powerful lever to strengthen the impact of civil society organizations. Yet many NGOs still lack access to the tools and skills required. AI FOR IMPACT aims precisely to build bridges between technology actors, institutions and associations in order to transform this potential into concrete solutions serving the public good. » Dr. Nizar Chaari, Founder of EPIK Leaders
Among the initiatives presented during the event is NOVAI – Network of Opportunities for Value, Aid and Innovation, a platform based in Dubai that leverages artificial intelligence to help NGOs and social enterprises access international funding more effectively.
The platform enables organizations to:
« NOVAI was born from a simple conviction: no impactful idea should remain unfunded due to limited access to information, tools or expertise. By combining artificial intelligence, human expertise and a trusted marketplace of specialists, we help NGOs and social enterprises identify funding opportunities, strengthen their proposals and amplify their impact. » Feryal El Moghraby, Founder of NOVAI
The AI FOR IMPACT 2026 program will feature several key highlights:
