EPIK 100: In Rabat, EPIK Leaders Honors 100 Emerging Young Leaders Committed to Africa’s Future.

17 january 2026

On the sidelines of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the pan-African association EPIK Leaders, in partnership with the RDC Stratégie Think Tank, held the EPIK 100 ceremony in Rabat, celebrating 100 emerging young leaders selected for the coherence of their journeys, their civic and associative engagement, and their potential to drive meaningful impact across the African continent.

« EPIK 100 is not an end in itself; it is a gateway. The objective is to recognize promising trajectories at the right moment, and then support them in transforming commitment into lasting impact. » Dr. Nizar Chaari, Founder of EPIK Leaders

Recognizing Emerging Pathways

Conceived as a moment of collective recognition, EPIK 100 highlights journeys in the making–driven by a generation of young Africans who are already engaged at the early stages of their paths, across fields such as education, entrepreneurship, social innovation, health, environmental action, and civic engagement.

The EPIK 100 call for applications attracted over 500 young candidates from 34 African countries, with an average age of 23, reflecting a generation that is active, structured, and deeply aware of the continent’s economic and social challenges. The 2025 cohort comprises 30% women and 70% men.

Laureates were selected by a jury composed of members of the EPIK Leaders Board, based on clear criteria: societal commitment, coherence of academic and personal journeys, ability to engage in collective dynamics, and leadership potential.

« Being part of EPIK 100 is an immense honor–a true springboard. This recognition motivates me to further my commitment to my community and to actively contribute to shaping a better future for Africa, » said Yvette Jolivia KEMEBOUNE NKOMBE, a young Gabonese student, entrepreneur, and member of EPIK Leaders.

A Pan-African Milestone at the Intersection of Economic and Civic Dynamics

Held at Palais Jawhara in Rabat, the EPIK 100 ceremony took place within the framework of the Leopard Business Village – Expo AFCON Morocco, a pan-African platform for economic, cultural, and tourism diplomacy led by the Democratic Republic of Congo. The initiative aims to strengthen bilateral partnerships and promote soft power, while highlighting the role of major continental gatherings as key platforms for showcasing African youth and their commitments.

Beyond the award ceremony, the event featured a high-level panel entitled « Strategic Partnerships and Sustainable Investments: Building Economic Bridges Between the DRC and Morocco, » organized by the RDC Stratégie Think Tank.
